Has evolution slowed to a crawl/ceased to continue? Over the millions of years of our human existence, there has been one constant - Natural selection. If Mother Nature 'thought' someone should die, they usually did, whether it was from an earthquake, fire etc. However, in modern society, we have the urge to help those in pain/danger. Whilst this may make us humans, it's slowly and surely making our gene pool thicker as a whole - there's no such thing as survival of the fittest anymore.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for ambulances, life saving surgeries and helping those less fortunate, and whilst this may make us feel good about ourselves, it's slowly increasing our chances of killing off the human species. You're now thinking to yourself, how on earth did he get to that? Simple.
Through natural selection, Mother Nature has always managed to ensure the strongest survive, giving the Human Species the best chance for survival, growth and evolution. If there is no natural selection, the weaker parts of the human race were killed, instead now they're allowed to procreate. Over a matter of years, the earth will become over-populated with us, and with the research constantly going on, many of the terminal diseases that keep our race in check will also be eradicated.
This simply means that due to the sheer volume of us, we'll die, starvation, dehydration etc, unless of course, the human race has conquered space exploration by then. However, on the flip side, the lack of food, water and space will possibly bring about the survival of the fittest rule, and maybe that's the 'grand plan' if you believe in all that jazz...
Either way, as a species, we're becoming dumber, and whilst it's not a bad thing, it's because of our caring human nature... Whatever happens, neither you, nor I will be around to see the potential downfall/making of the human race.
I could be talking out of my arse, none of this could happen, and we'll all evolve into some sort of super human... That'd be cool.

Online Forums and the Abuse
Now the majority of people would have used some sort of online forum, whether it be for social interaction, or some sort of specific use. However, not everyone has had the joy of being the centre of an attack on an online forum, or more commonly known as 'flaming'.
This is the act in which a large amount of people simply insult you for your post, or your signature, or any-fucking- thing they can identify as something they consider an annoyance. This is a frequent occurence in forums aimed at the younger generation, and therefore the younger generation are generally the culprits of said flaming. Whether it's because they're too immature to realise not every post needs an insult on the end of it, or whether the majority need to feel big and therefore overcompensate on the online forums. Either way, it's one of those things that forum-goers have to endure to get their opinion out there on the net.
Anyway, I'll get to my point. When using a forum, there's several unspoken rules that should be followed:
I look forward to the day where I can sign into a forum and not have my game ruined/myself flamed - will that happen? I doubt it. So next time you go to post on a forum, think of this blog.
Whilst I may not have had as many years on this planet as most, I can say with a straight face I consider myself to be a stand-up, helpful guy... With a grump on society.

- Be kind to one another. Whilst this one rarely gets followed, it would make the entire internet a nicer place if it were, let alone a single forum.
- Use spoilers or indicate spoilers in thread titles. It's infuriating to find out something about a TV show/film/game without any warning... Not just infuriating, fucking annoying and damn right rude.
- Help one another. If you can answer someone's question quickly and easily, then do.

The Ignorance of People
I debated what my first blog could be about, whether it'd be the extraordinary ignorance of the general population to allow the two twins to stay in the X-Factor over the far more talented Lucie; or possibly the lack of teamwork that the Gears community seem to exude lately. Then I had a thought, I'll combine the two and title it the Ignorance of People, after all, it does seem pretty fitting to me.
No matter what the situation, whether it be the X-Factor results, playing any game over XBL, or just generally walking down the street, I manage to notice ignorance and stupidity everywhere. For example, today was Remembrance Sunday, did you hold your two minutes silence? Hell, did you hold any amount of time in silence and think of those that died? Hopefully you're saying yes... If not, then you're disrespectful and ignorant, but in the eyes of today's society, that's OK.
Unfortunately for the country - The world in fact - Ignorance and stupidity are a growing problem, even more so than racism in my opinion, because if anything, racism is being wiped out, even if it is taking a while. Whilst the government's of today are actively combating racism, there's nothing being done about the topic of this blog, and that in itself is a dangerous practice...
